The Challenge
Ethos Book Publishers had a great story to tell. Their Noah and Blue series was written for children, but built around big ideas — lessons about kindness, identity, and growing up. The tagline said it best: "Big Lessons for Little Hearts."
But they didn't have a brand that matched the story. No logo. No color palette. No design system. When they went to sell online, they had nowhere to send people.
And the books were available in multiple formats — paperback, e-book, and even an Amazon Audible audiobook — but there was no single place to find them all. They needed a brand from scratch. And they needed a store that could handle every format in one place.
What We Built
We built a complete brand identity and WooCommerce store from the ground up. Every design decision was made with the audience in mind — children and their parents.
How do you design a brand for children without being childish?
The challenge was making something fun and friendly without looking cheap. We used simple shapes, warm colors, and clean typography. The illustrations reference the books without copying them. It felt like the world of Noah and Blue — not a generic kids' brand.
Why WooCommerce and not Shopify or another platform?
The client already had a WordPress setup. WooCommerce was the natural fit. It gave them full control over the product pages, pricing, and formats — without paying platform fees on every sale.
How did we handle multiple book formats?
Each format got its own product listing with clear labels. Paperback. E-book. Audiobook. The store connected to Amazon Audible for the audio version. Customers could buy any format in one checkout.
What did the device mockups show?
We created mockups showing how the brand looked on phones, tablets, and print. This helped the client see the full system — not just the logo — before we finalized anything. It also gave them assets they could use in marketing.
